AEE Solar wrapped up its eighth annual Dealer Conference in January. Over 250 solar enthusiasts gathered in sunny San Diego, California from all across the country for this industry-leading event.
To kick off the conference San Diego-style, attendees climbed aboard the Adventure Hornblower for a dinner cruise around the San Diego Bay. Two full days of NABCEP CE registered courses, solar industry guest speakers, manufacturer expo and fun networking events ensued, taking place at the bayside Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Resort. Sunrun co-founder, Ed Fenster, delivered the key note address, speaking to current legislative trends in the solar market and shedding some light on the possible effects of the ITC extension.
More so than any other Dealer Conference, the technical focus of the event trended towards battery technologies and the future of energy storage. AEE Solar’s Paul Dailey hosted a panel discussion to a packed-out room on the topic of energy storage with representatives from Tesla Motors, OutBack Power, Enphase Energy, and Aquion Energy, sparking debate on the various battery technologies available.
AEE Solar welcomed over 20 manufacturers to exhibit at the event, including Platinum Sponsors OutBack Power, REC Group, and SnapNrack. Attendees had the opportunity to speak directly with representatives from these leading solar product manufacturers and hear first-hand about the new products being released in 2016.
PV Magazine covered the event, interviewing Ed Fenster, AEE Solar VP Antonio Cintra, and a few of AEE Solar’s valued dealers. Check out the video clip here! The coverage managed to capture the enthusiasm that abounded among solar installers, guest speakers and manufacturers alike as we prepare for another exciting year in the solar industry.
Dates have already been announced for the 2017 Dealer Conference when we return to San Diego for the ninth annual Dealer Conference. Registration is officially open so you can sign up today! This event will sell out and prices will increase as we get closer. You can learn more about this event and register on the AEE Solar website.
