Q: Are there currently any off-grid rapid shutdown solutions that comply with 690.12(B)(2), the module level rapid shutdown? Are there any new products that will comply on the horizon?
A: The Tigo/SMA TS4-S and CCA will work with most all charge controls.The TS4-O will only work with selected charge controls like the MidNite Classic. The IMO FireRaptor should work with any system and is hard wired for the ultimate reliability. There is some work being done on other devices including SunSpec, but no word on when those might be available.
